The Everyday from the Past

I found this amount my grandmother’s items: Income of School Fund from 1918.  Anyone ever seen one of these?

I did some research and came across these links:

Some interesting reading 🙂

Don’t you just love stuff like this? I about went crazy when I found a Model T repair bill from about this time period. Ephemera! Gotta love it!

At Mike’s great-aunt’s house, there’s a framed pay stub telling Mike’s great-grandmother or great-grandfather that the school district has paid her/him what they can for now and will get them the rest of what they’re owed ASAP. It’s from the 1920s or 1930s. I just love how things from back them are at least partly hand-written–shows there are real people interacting.
